Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Weebly E-Commerce Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, optimizing, and maintaining high-quality e-commerce websites on the Weebly platform, tailoring solutions to meet client needs and enhance the user experience. The ideal candidate possesses a strong foundation in web development and a deep understanding of Weebly’s e-commerce features. This position requires a proactive problem-solver who can translate business requirements into functional and visually appealing online stores, ensuring seamless integration, performance, and user engagement.
Your Role and Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain responsive Weebly e-commerce websites, ensuring robust functionality, performance, and an optimal user experience.
Customize Weebly themes and templates to align with branding requirements, design specifications, and functionality needs.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and graphic designers, to implement custom e-commerce solutions that support business goals.Optimize websites for speed, performance, and SEO best practices to improve visibility and search rankings.Manage and integrate third-party applications, plugins, and payment gateways with Weebly to extend functionality and support diverse client requirements.Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues that may arise in the development or deployment process.Monitor and analyze website performance metrics, implementing necessary adjustments to improve site reliability, usability, and customer retention.Stay updated on industry trends, new Weebly features, and best practices to continually enhance service offerings and technical skills.Provide technical support and training to clients or internal teams as needed, ensuring proper use and functionality of Weebly features.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Strong proficiency in web development languages, particularly HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Proven experience in developing and customizing websites on the Weebly platform, with a specific focus on e-commerce functionalities.
- In-depth knowledge of Weebly’s e-commerce tools, including product catalogs, checkout processes, shipping and tax settings, and payment integrations.
- Familiarity with SEO optimization techniques and best practices, especially as they pertain to Weebly sites.
- Proficiency in integrating third-party tools, APIs, and plugins with Weebly to expand and enhance website capabilities.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in project management and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Qualification & Experience Required
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in web development, with at least 1-2 years focused on Weebly or similar e-commerce platforms.Demonstrated portfolio of successful Weebly e-commerce projects or similar online storefronts.Certification in web development, SEO, or related technical fields is a plus.Familiarity with other web platforms (e.g., WordPress, Shopify) is advantageous but not required.
